For Families Visiting Jabbersmack:

To make sure that this site is safer than other social sites, we do the following:

  1. Information collected on the site is non-personal (first name, age, city and state).

  2. When your child creates a username and password on Jabbersmack, we do not collect any information that would allow us or anyone else to identify your child. When prompted to create a username, we recommend you use non-personally identifiable information. We will never request your child’s email, we only email to parent accounts.

  3. When a parent creates an account on Jabbersmack, we do collect an email address for important notifications. We never assume or assemble additional information about your child from the information entered by the parent. We also limit the amount of data collected on the parent account to first name and email address, city and state to protect the privacy of your child.

  4. If your child sends us an e-mail or a support request using email, we will not keep the address nor merge it with other data currently stored for your child.

  5. If your child submits content to us, which we post on Jabbersmack, they will be identified on our site only by first name, age, city and state.

  6. If your child enters additional information like their Cell Phone number or other types of contact information to receive notifications, we will not share, sell, give, display or lend this for marketing purposes or any other reason. It will only be used to send the information as requested.

  7. No one will be excluded from our site for not giving us personal information. When we do ask for personal information (like an e-mail address), we will only keep it until that particular activity is complete. We will not share this information with a third party.

  8. If we know a visitor is under the age of thirteen, we will collect a parent's permission offline (by postal mail, fax or phone) before we mail any prizes, or collect or share personal information with anyone else.

  9. As you visit Jabbersmack.com it is possible that several cookies will be set on your PC. Cookies are used to remember browser preferences, and improve our visitors' experiences on the site. No personal information is ever stored in a Jabbersmack cookie. Jabbersmack does not sell information collected by cookies or use the information for commerce-related purposes.

The team at Jabbersmack wants you and your kids to improve your relationships and friendships through improved social functions and fun. While no site is completely safe or perfect, with your cooperation we do believe Jabbersmack to be a better way to connect with real friends and family.
